Cooking broccoli on a griddle is one of the easiest and best ways to cook this healthy green veggie. You can use a portable griddle or a griddle on your grill and you’ll get the same tender result.
Ingredients
1large head broccoli
2tablespoonsolive oil
2teaspoonssoy sauce
1/4cupcold water
1teaspoonlemon juice
Salt and pepperto taste
Instructions
Cut the broccoli on a cutting board, discarding the stalks. Cut the florets into pieces about 1-1/2” inches in size.
Heat a griddle over high heat and add broccoli once very hot. Place the pieces in a single layer.
Turn the broccoli over often to avoid burning. Cook for about 2 minutes in total.
Add soy sauce and water to the broccoli and cover the griddle with a lid for another 2 to 3 minutes, until the broccoli is tender.
Top with a spritz of lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Plate and serve while warm.
