Griddle Broccoli Recipe

Cooking broccoli on a griddle is one of the easiest and best ways to cook this healthy green veggie. You can use a portable griddle or a griddle on your grill and you’ll get the same tender result.

Ingredients

  • 1 large head broccoli
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cut the broccoli on a cutting board, discarding the stalks. Cut the florets into pieces about 1-1/2” inches in size.
  • Heat a griddle over high heat and add broccoli once very hot. Place the pieces in a single layer.
  • Turn the broccoli over often to avoid burning. Cook for about 2 minutes in total.
  • Add soy sauce and water to the broccoli and cover the griddle with a lid for another 2 to 3 minutes, until the broccoli is tender.
  • Top with a spritz of lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Plate and serve while warm.
