Ingredients

  • 1 frozen lasagna
  • Fresh parsley finely chopped (for garish)

Oven Method

  • Follow the package instructions on your lasagna. Start by preheating the oven to 375 °F, unless indicated otherwise.
  • Place your lasagna on a baking sheet to collect spills and cover with aluminum foil.
  • Bake on the lower-middle rack for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and continue baking until the lasagna reaches an internal temperature of 165 °F on an instant-read thermometer.
  • Allow the lasagna to sit for 5 to 10 minutes befotre serving. Add parsley garnish of desired and serve.

Microwave

  • Place your frozen lasagna on a microwave-safe dish. Be sure to remove plastic or aluminum foil coverings.
  • Use the “defrost” function at full power for 10 to 20 minutes. Read the package instructions to determine the exact cook times for the lasagna size you have. You can then cut the lasagna into pieces to speed up cooking time.
  • When fully defrosted, cook at 60% power for 5 minutes or until the internal temperature is 165 °F on an instant-read thermometer.

Stovetop

  • Remove all the packaging prepare to place your frozen lasagna into a heavy-bottomed pan or a Dutch oven.
  • Over medium heat, warm up a small amount of olive oil, then add the lasagna, and cover with a lid.
  • Allow the lasagna to cook for 10 minutes without stirring or lifting the cover.
  • Then cover and cook another 10 minutes. Remove the lid after 10 minutes and ensure the lasagna is not drying out. If it looks dry, add a 1/4 cup of water to the pan. Cook for another 10 minutes and check again. Add water if necessary. Repeat until the lasagna reaches an internal temperature is 165 °F on an instant-read thermometer.

Notes

  • Toaster Oven: A toaster oven isn’t powerful enough to cook a lasagna thoroughly. It may also heat unevenly. Do not use a toaster oven unless you are cooking a single serving portion.
  • Air Fryer: The air fryer is best to reheat cooked lasagna. Heat for about 20 minutes at 375 °F.
  • Instant Pot: This is not recommended for preparing a frozen lasagna. The texture may be watery and rubbery.
