Easy Baked Beans with Ground Beef Recipe

Baked Beans with Ground Beef is a Southern dish that’s made to impress. Spice it up with some bacon, BBQ sauce, bell pepper, onions and spices! Plus, the homemade sauce will give your baked beans a sweet and spicy flavor boost!

Ingredients

  • 3 cans baked beans
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 1 bell pepper diced
  • 1/3 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • optional chopped parsley for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. Grease a 13 x 9 casserole dish, and set aside.
  • Add ground beef to a skillet over medium heat. Cook for 3 minutes and then drain away any grease.
  • Stir in the onions and red bell pepper. Continue to cook until beef is brown and veggies have softened.
  • Add BBQ sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce.
  • Add the baked beans. Pour the mixture into the prepared casserole dish.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for about 50 minutes.
  • Remove it from the oven. Allow it to rest for at least 10 minutes.
