Easy Dorm Room Recipe Collections
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups elbow pasta
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup broccoli
- red pepper flakes optional
Instructions
- In a medium-large microwaveable bowl, add pasta, water and salt.
- Microwave in 2-minute intervals until cooked, stirring in between.
- Pour in the milk and garlic powder and mix.
- Add the cheese and broccoli and microwave for 30 seconds or until creamy.
- Serve the mac and cheese on a plate or into a bowl (I used a bread bowl) and top with red pepper flakes. Enjoy!
Notes
- Use a deeper and larger bowl to cook Mac and Cheese in the microwave as it will rise when cooked. The bowl can also get quite hot and it’s better to use oven mitts to handle the bowl.
