Classic Pound Cake Recipe

I am not much of a baker, although I have been known to eat my fair share of baked goods. When I do want to bake though, I usually go for things that are easy to make, taste great and look pretty. That’s exactly what this Classic Pound Cake Recipe is like. It’s yummy enough to eat by itself or you can dress it up with your favorite berries. There’s so much you can do to it!

In a large bowl, mix together 1 1/2 cups sugar, 1/2 cup butter, and 1/2 cup sour cream. Add in 3 eggs and beat until fluffy. Add in 1 1/2 cups All Purpose flour and 1/4 tsp. baking soda. Mix until all ingredients are incorporated well.

Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 55 minutes to an hour or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Top with whipped cream, berries, powdered sugar, or a powdered sugar and milk glaze.
