Frequently Asked Questions

Why Does My Banana Bread Come Out Dry?

Moisture is key for the best banana bread, and that’s why the Bisquick mix to banana ratio is important here. If you use too much of the mix, then your bread will be dry, but if you don’t use enough, your bread will be too wet! The secret? It’s in how you measure the flour!

Can I use Bisquick as flour?

Yes! You can swap Bisquick in for all-purpose flour in most recipes. You will often find all-purpose flour used in baking bread, cakes, and pastries. Bisquick is made up of flour, baking powder, salt, and shortening, making it a perfect substitute.

Why is My Banana Bread So Chewy?

When you mix your banana bread batter, gluten develops during the process. Too much of it will result in chewy banana bread. So avoid over-mixing if you prefer to tender and moist loaf.
