How to Make Nachos
Nacho chips are traditionally made by deep-frying tortillas. If you’d rather not use a deep fryer, try one of these healthier alternatives.
Cook Time 14 minutes minutes
Servings 4
- 4 flour tortillas 6-inch
- vegetable oil for frying
- salt to taste
- oil
- optional seasonings
- your favorite toppings
Pre-heat oven to 400°F.
Cut a 6-inch tortilla into four triangles.
Shallow fry the triangles in a few inches of oil in a skillet until golden brown. You may have to do this in batches.
Let the nachos drain on paper towels and season with salt.
Place the triangles on a baking sheet and brush them with a little oil. Season with herbs and spices as desired.
Add your favorite toppings like shredded cheese, diced onion, tomato, and seasoned meat.
Bake in the oven for 6-8 minutes or until the toppings are warm and the cheese is melted. Serve with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole. Enjoy!
