How to Microwave Cup Noodles Properly

If you want to use a microwave to heat up instant noodles, you will have to remove the noodles from the styrofoam cup and place them into a microwave safe container instead.

Ingredients

  • 1 package cup noodles
  • Water
  • Optional additions

Instructions

  • Open the package and place the instant noodles into a microwave safe bowl.
  • Add the flavor packet if desired and discard the packaging.
  • Pour in water or broth to cover. Add any optional additions as desired.
  • Microwave the noodles for 1 minute on full power, followed by 30 second intervals, until steaming hot. (Note: times may vary by microwave strength, so add extra time for lower wattage microwaves, and reduce time for more powerful microwaves.)
  • Using oven mitts to prevent burns, carefully remove the bowl of hot noodles from the microwave.
  • Garnish with optional toppings. Serve and enjoy!
