Chocolate Dipped Strawberries are an easy, delicious, beautiful treat that’s great for valentine’s gift or dessert. In addition to the regular strawberry shape, you can easily turn them into heart-shaped strawberries. Here is a step-by-step guide to how to make chocolate strawberries!
Set aside a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Set aside toppings.
Prepare the strawberries: Wash strawberries and pat dry with paper towels (make sure to dry them thoroughly).
Add baking chocolate to a medium microwaveable bowl, and microwave in 30 second intervals until melted, stirring each time.
In a separate bowl, repeat previous step for the white chocolate.
To make chocolate covered strawberries:
Holding the strawberry by the stem and dip it the chocolate. Lift and scrape the excess chocolate.
Place the strawberry on the parchment paper and coat with toppings.
Chill the strawberries for about 15 minutes or until the chocolate sets.
To make chocolate covered STRAWBERRY HEARTS:
Slice each strawberry in half lengthwise. Then using a toothpick, fasten two halves together to make a heart shape. Repeat for remaining strawberries. (Pat dry one more time to make all “hearts” are completely dry)
Dip strawberries or strawberry hearts into the chocolate using two forks, and place them on prepared baking sheet.
Chill about 15 minutes until the chocolate sets.
Carefully remove the toothpicks using your fingers.
Place melted chocolate into a zip-top bag and squeeze into the corner. Clip 1/8" off the corner with scissors.
Drizzle melted chocolate or decorating gel on top of hearts (See the pictures above).
Chill another 15 minutes to let the drizzle set. Serve and enjoy!
