Like a lot of parents, I’ve dealt with picky kids for a long time now. I thought that once they got older, they’d grow out of that picky stage and while I have two kids that have gotten better at eating healthier food and trying new foods, my 13 year old is still incredibly picky. She also doesn’t eat very much at all so getting those nutrients in and still getting her to eat food that she likes is a challenge.
Luckily for us, Sprouts and General Mills make it easy for me to find options that I know are better for my daughter in flavors and varieties that she will actually eat. Since she is homeschooled 3 days a week and goes to a charter school the other 2 days, I have to make sure that I have different options for her at lunchtime so I know she’s eating foods that are good for her. And I will be honest, I am not a great cook so having things that I can whip up in a short amount of time for her is a must!
One of the things that I really struggle with is getting my daughter to eat something in the morning. Whether she’s here at home for the day or getting ready to go to school, she almost always says that she’s not hungry and doesn’t want to eat anything. I always like having things like Immaculate Baking Company Cinnamon Rolls with Icing or Cascadian Farm Cinnamon Crunch Cereal because I know that she loves both of them & I know that they are better for her than other foods that we grab in a rush.
