This is a sponsored post brought to you by Invisalign. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
About 10 Christmases ago, we were having a really hard time financially. We were barely able to pay our bills, let alone think about buying gifts for our 2 little kids. We had put in a prayer request to the church we were going to at the time about being able to make ends meet & pay our bills.
We got a call from the church letting us know that they were going to pay our entire past due electric bill, plus someone had some gifts for our kids and could she drop them by our home. I remember this woman coming over with her daughter who was about 13 at the time, and bringing my kids a huge bag of clothes, books and toys.
I remember thinking what a remarkable thing for this single mom to do. She told us that while she was by no means rich, she had someone do the same thing for her when she had very little money & she always wanted to pay it forward. I truly believe that the lesson in all of this was not about giving the toys & clothes (she even brought us a gift card for a grocery store) but that no matter where you are in life, you can always help someone less fortunate than you are. The lesson she taught us that day, and not to mention her young daughter, has not been forgotten and is something I think about often, especially at this time of year.
I am very pleased to be working with Invisalign to share with you all their Smile It Forward Sweepstakes. Invisalign knows how important a smile is and in this great giveaway, you can win a $500 Visa gift card for you AND one for a friend! Imagine the smile on your friend’s face when you are able to give them that gift card! Being able to do something nice & unexpected for someone is a great way to now only bring a smile to their face, but to yours as well!
Are you familiar with Invisalign? I had heard the name of course but wasn’t 100% sure what they were. Invisalign is a series of nearly invisible, removable “aligners” that are used to gradually straighten teeth without metal or wires. Kids & adults can be treated using Invisalign. A wide array of broad issues can be corrected with Invisalign, like overly crowded teeth, widely spaced teeth, open bite, crossbite, overbite and underbite. In most cases, Invisalign is comparable in cost to traditional braces, is covered by most dental insurance plans, and affordable financing options are often available. Find out more about Invisalign on their website & also on Facebook and Twitter. The best way to find an Invisalign provider is to visit the Invisalign Doctor Locator. Take the Invisalign Smile Assessment to find out if Invisalign is right for you or your child.
What will you do today to make someone else smile? Who will you select for the other $500 card if you win the sweepstakes?
I will pick my friend LIsa for the other $500 card. Her husband has cancer and their furnace just *&^! the bed. They are cold in the northeast!!
Oh Greta, that’s awful! Good luck in the giveaway!
I would pick my bestie joyce. she is a new grandmaw now and is basically raising her grandbaby. we both are having some finance issues right now and would be so thankful! Thanks
Definitely my friend Jenn! She was the one who introduced me to all of these great giveaways!!
I would give the gift card to my sister and I know we would probably use them to help buy a stove, tv, and microwave for our mom and dad. There tv died and both the stove and microwave are tripping the breaker and getting too hot. Thanks for the giveaway. Good luck everyone.
I forgot about this one. I try everyday to make others smile. No matter what is going on my chaotic world I try to always keep a smile and spread the love. My daughter is about to be 10 and has already been told she would need braces and she has asked for invisalign. Thanks again for the giveaway.
I would give it to my mother…she is having a rough time right now and could use anything extra I could give.
I would give the other $500 to my parents. They have blessed us in so many ways over the years, it would be so nice to be able to do the same for them for once!
What a great piece of (very true) advice. We’ve been POOR before and there was terrible flooding in our area in 2011. I knew I had to pay it forward to those people who truly had just lost everything. It felt amazing in my heart.
I would love to help out our family, they are the some of the best people and need a break. I will give a random person a hug….watch out…hee hee
What a nice giveaway! I would share this with my mom. She always gives to everyone and never has anything for herself. She lives paycheck to paycheck and just found out that her work place will be closing the last 2 weeks of the year – so she will not have a pay check. Winning this would be a huge blessing for her – it would probably cover most of her bills. Thanks!
Awww, Janell 🙁 I’m so sorry to hear that about your Mom! Hug & prayers!
I’d give it to my mom.
I would pick one for me and one for my daughter for Christmas! Thank you so much for an awesome Giveaway! Merry Christmas! 🙂
My mom would definitely get the other one!
My sister her husband was in the hospital and skilled nursing homes with kidney cancer and pancreatitis for almost 1 year he just went back to work now and they are behind in their bills.
I would give the other card to my best friend. He is the nicest, most down to earth, thoughtful, honest, dependable and responsible person you could ever meet.
