Night Owl Paper Goods – Holiday Cards Printed on Real Wood!

It’s hard to believe that Halloween is already over and we’ve only just started the Holiday Season! Pretty soon we’ll be thinking about decorating our homes for the Holidays, buying turkeys & hams for our Holiday feasts and exchanging gifts. There’s always so much to do on our lists and one thing I almost ALWAYS forget to do it order my Christmas cards. It never fails…I’ll have pretty much everything else done & realize once again, I’ve forgotten to order any cards to send to our family & friends. This year though, I am one step ahead!

I’ve shared with you before about my love with Night Owl Paper Goods (here, here & here). Susan from Budget Earth & I have teamed up to bring you another great giveaway from Night Owl Paper Goods. You’ll be able to find that giveaway here.

Night Owl Paper Goods specializes in folksy handmade cards & “eco-chic wooden” products. They customize your Holiday cards and can even print them on wood for you. I knew that I wanted to print my own Christmas cards on wood this year because not only would it look really neat, it would stand out because it’s different. I don’t know about you but I’ve never received a wooden Christmas card in the mail but I sure would remember it for years to come if I did! My next decision was if I wanted a card with my kids picture on it or just a cute design customized with our names. I chose the Peace Penguin card, printed on wood for our cards. I loved the look of it and thought it was something that people would love opening & seeing. With this card (and many of the other cards at Night Owl Paper Goods), you get to decide what you want on the back of your cards. Some of the options are a photo, photo & text, stripes, text, other patterns and a calendar for 2014, which is what I chose.

Placing an order on Night Owl Paper Goods site is really easy. You choose the card you want, the quantity, what you want on the back of the card & the text that will be customized on the card (and you upload your photos if you’ve chosen a card/back of card that has a space for it. After choosing what you want, you submit your order. You might second guess yourself, because you WON’T see a proof right away. But don’t worry! One of the professional graphic designers will expertly lay out your text and/or photo. Within 24 hours, they will email you a personalized proof for your feedback and approval. If there is something you don’t like or want to change, they are very good about working with you. You never feel alone or unsure through this process. Customer service at Night Owl Paper Goods has almost been great!

Night Owl doesn’t sell just cards, either. They make calendars (I’ll be reviewing a 2014 owl calendar in just a couple weeks! Can’t wait for you guys to see it!), journals, party decorations & so much more! I picked out 3 small jotter notebooks for stocking stuffers this Christmas. My daughter will be getting the Mabel Mermaid jotter, my youngest son will be getting the Woody Wagon jotter & I got the Simon the Sea Turtle jotter for my Grandma. She’s collected turtles for as long as I can remember & I know she will love carrying this in her purse. These jotters measure 3″ x 4 1/2″, have 75 Blank 100% post-consumer recycled pages and the front and back covers are made from eco-friendly sustainably harvested birch. Plus, you can’t deny that they are adorable as well!
