Hearts 4 Hearts Girls Dolls
I am super excited for today’s giveaway.  About a year ago, Ashlyn (my almost 10 year old daughter) saw a doll at Target that she really wanted.  I got it for her for her birthday and she was so excited.  The doll was a Hearts 4 Hearts Girl doll named Rahel.  H4H Dolls are different than other dolls I have seen.  Each doll represents a different part of the world and looks like a young girl that would come from that country.  Rahel is from Ethiopia, so she has dark skin, dark curly hair and comes dressed in clothes that are inspired from her country.  Ashlyn loved her so much that she wanted another Hearts 4 Hearts Girl doll & this time she chose Nahji, who is from India.  Nahji has a nose piercing & a henna tattoo on her hand.

Ashlyn was super excited to learn that she was getting the Hearts 4 Hearts Dell doll to play with.  Dell is from  the Appalachian region of Kentucky.  Like the other H4H dolls, she stands 14 inches high. She also has amazing teal colored eyes & adorable freckles.  The Deluxe Dell doll comes with a miniature acoustic guitar with playable strings and strap, a comb, purple slide-on flip flops, Girl-sized H4HG charm bracelet, a folder containing some songs/sheet music and just like the other dolls, a cute little story book about Dell and her life in the part of the world she comes from.

When you purchase a Hearts 4 Hearts Girl doll, a donation is made to underserved children in the region the doll represents.  I love this quote taken from the Hearts 4 Hearts Girls site:
The Hearts For Hearts Girls™ mission is to empower girls to become agents of change in their communities, their countries, and around the world. We want to change the world one heart at a time

There is even a page on the H4H website that shares stories of girls’ from all over the world and how they inspire us.  I am glad that the Hearts 4 Hearts dolls look different than other dolls.  I am glad that they are all not blond hair & blue eyes.  I want my 4 year old niece, who is mixed, to be able to buy dolls that look like her and to have dolls from different parts of the country that teach her & my own daughter in a positive way.

You can find the Hearts 4 Hearts Girls dolls at Amazon, Target and Toys R Us.  One lucky reader will win their own Hearts 4 Hearts Girls doll!  Enter below on the Rafflecopter.  Please make sure you visit H4H on their Facebook page (tell them A Spectacled Owl sent ya :)) & on their website. They truly are a wonderful company!
