Since my kids are sort of spread out in age (14, 10 & 5), sometimes the youngest wants to do things his older brother (14) gets to do but just can’t. For instance, when we went to my grandparents a couple months ago, my oldest son had a GREAT time playing darts with my 91 year old Grandpa (I mean, how adorable is that visual?). Ryan wanted to play so badly but the thought of him, throwing a real dart…well, let’s just say I wasn’t comfortable with that!
So, when we were given the chance to review Doink-it™ Darts from Marky Sparky Toys, I knew it would be something Ryan would really love. I decided to give them to him for his birthday and funny enough, we actually saw the Doink-it™ Darts in a specialty store not long before that and he fell in love with them. When we received the box from Marky Sparky Toys, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they were located not too far from us in San Diego County. I am always thrilled to help out a local company!
Ryan’s 5th birthday came and he quickly opened up the Doink-it™ Darts. He was so excited and immediately realized they were the same darts he had played with at the toy store the week before. Before he even saw what else was in the rest of the gift bag, he started opening up the box to the Doink-it™ Darts because he wanted to play with them again!
What makes the Doink-it™ Darts so cool, is that they are safe…no sharp points like a regular dart set. Kids ages 3 & up can enjoy playing darts and it’s still fun for adults to play too! The goal in making the darts was to make the best playing magnetic dart set on the planet. Each of the darts uses N-35 Neodymium rare earth magnets™, which are the strongest type of permanent magnet currently made. The ends of the darts are made with space age Doinkit™ material, making the dart lightweight, durable and keeps the dart flying straight, to make the game more fun and accurate!
Marky Sparky Toys makes a lot of other fun toys as well. Their award winning Fauxbow lets you shoot a bow and arrow without having to worry about hurting anyone, the California Chariot™ is like riding a bike & 2 skateboards all at once (or the Skoooch™ for ages 3-6) and award winning Blast Pad®, which is a missile launch system (and Blast Pad® Jr. for kids 5 & up)
You can find out about these toys and more at Marky Sparky Toys. You can also find them on Facebook and if you can’t find their toys in a store close to you, you can also order online!
Thanks for the review! This is the perfect indoor dart game, and I will definitely look into purchasing one now!
This is such a great idea! My little ones are still to young for real darts, but this like fun for the family. Thanks for the review!
We love darts, but not in the house! What a great way to break that rule! This looks like a lot of fun for the whole family! The colors are so vibrant
What a cool toy! I love the idea of making a version of darts that safe for younger kids!
Oh how fun! I love that it’s safe for little ones!
oh wow i love this..it’s safe for my little one to play with…thank you for sharing.
It is hard on one that is younger and they rest are older I know living in a family of 5 but I think aleast in my case it makes you grow up faster and makes it easier for the parents when its the 3 or 4 time around to go through stages we always said my oldest sister paved the way for us to get to do things. Its nice to find games that all can play it brings the family closer
What a great idea – darts without pointy darts! When I was a kid we had a set of “Jarts” – those really big lawn darts – looking back I wonder what my parents were thinking: one good toss and any of us could have lost a limb or an eye – or worse. I am going to get this set for my kids.
I like the safety factor of this game. I remember the very sharp darts we had when I was young…I would never let my kids play with anything like that. I do not know what my parent’s were thinking when they bought it, although I must say we never played with them by ourselves.
There are a ton of things like that where I think back & go “Did my Mom really let us do/play with THAT?” lol
This awesome! I sooo need to get this for my munchkin! We’d have a ball doing this!
i always liked that type of game i always use to play with my friend
Haha, this is pretty cool! I will keep this in mind once Christmas shopping comes along.
