I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Kohl’s. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
A couple of weeks ago, I shared with you all that we got the chance to go Back to School Shopping at Kohl’s. Shopping really isn’t my “thing” so taking my 10 & 5-year-old school shopping wasn’t sounding all that great. I didn’t want to have to go from store to store to find clothes for both of them. So, we started at Kohl’s and I am glad we did!
I have shopped at Kohl’s a couple times in the past but only for one things here and there. This time I knew I had to shop for 2 kids & do it quickly (let’s just say my 5 year old wasn’t “feeling like shopping” that day!) We first headed to the girl’s sections where there were so many different styles and colors of pants, jeans, dresses & tops to look through! I’ve written before that Ashlyn, my 10 year old is very picky when it comes to pants…mainly, she hates them. While she can get away with shorts and dresses most of the year here in San Diego, we do get colder weather & some rain (plus she’s always cold!) so I pushed to find jeans that she would like. Fortunately, she found 2 pairs at Kohl’s that she likes and will wear! Talk about a success!
Our biggest success though was definitely in the young boys section! All of their summer clothes (shorts, sleeveless shirts & T-shirts) were on clearance. My 5 year old doesn’t like pants either (come to think of it, neither does my 14 year old son! So weird coming from a Mom that wears jeans EVERY single day!) so I focused on the shorts. He also still has a hard time with snaps & zippers. Since he’s starting Kindergarten next week, I wanted to get him shorts that were easy on & easy off so he could handle the bathroom by himself at school.
So, want to know everything we bought? We were given a $100 Kohl’s GC for this post BUT I found more things & couldn’t just stop at $100. Here is a list of what we bought:
4 Girl’s Tops
2 Pair of Girl’s Jeans
6 Pairs of Boy’s Shorts
5 T-shirts/Boy’s Shirts
TOTAL: $179.16 (including tax), PLUS $30 in Kohl’s Cash to use towards our next shopping trip to Kohl’s!
It was great being able to go into one store, shop for two of my kids and have a great start to a Back To School wardrobe! Next time, I am shopping for myself!

Kohls is one of my favorite stores I will definitely be making most of my back to school shopping there.

I just went to Khols for my son’s back to school shoes. Looks like some good quality, hope they last pretty long.

Kohls is great! They have options for the whole family, and sales that my wallet likes. I even like their household items. We love looking through the clearance both in the store and online. When I get a 30%, I just hear the store calling my name.
